Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Sightseeing and Welcoming Dinner
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to a 4 star hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you to explore the city. In the evening, your guide will take you to a cultural performance, which will be followed by dinner in a local restaurant to welcome you to Mongolia.
Before We Start Our Mongolia Horse Riding Tour, We’ll have Some Sightseeing!
After breakfast you will leave Ulaanbaatar for the Upper Tuul River Valley in the Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area over 100 km away. On the way we’ll stop and explore and explore Chinggis Khan Statue complex is constructed in 2008, locates at Tsonjin Boldog, Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck, where they have a panoramic view from 131 foot (40 m) high. After this fascinating visit continue drive one hour on tarmac road, one hour through a beautiful steppe valley with many herdsmen with their livestock reach to Zamtiin Davaa. On your arrival, you will be met by your horseman and start warm up riding in that area.
Today will be the Start of Our Mongolia Horse Riding Journey with a ride to Zuun Bayan valley
After breakfast the riders are matches to their horses, saddles selected, and the horse tour begins into Baga Khentii Mountains, you will start riding and crosses the ridge at Zamtiin Davaa and through forest until you reach Bosgiin Guur, crosses over ride along the beautiful Tuul River, then decent into a Zuun Bayan valley, where in late summer, hay makers, can be seen cutting hay by hand for winter fodder. We camp in an open meadow for the night. Today’s ride will cover approx. 30kms.
Our Mongolia Horse Riding Adventure will Take Youto Tsagaan Khyart
You will wake up to the voice of singing birds. Today’s adventure takes more remote and wilderness areas. You will enjoy only virgin nature. At the same time, the trails become more obstacles with small bushes, forest trails, and some swampy areas. We will arrive at Zuu Spring. After having lunch there continue ride till Tsagaan Khyart. Although rarely seen, wolves are numerous in the area. There are also wild boars, moose, red deer (Cervus elaphus), marmots and gazelle.
Day ride to Princess Temple ruins
After leisurely breakfast start ride, we reach the remains of the charming Gunjiin Monastery, well known as Princess Temple once home to a young princess who became a protector of people and the Buddhist faith. It was massive monastery founded by a Mongolian Lord in honor of his wife in the 18th century. Sadly, the main temple and a portion of the wall are all that is left today. The remains are nestled deep, a valley covered with pine and birch forests as well as an abundance of wildflowers.
Confluence of Terelj & Bayan River
Continue ride at the edge of the beautiful landscape and the open mixture of mountain and grassland where forest and vegetation host an incredible number of bird species.
Today We’ll Continue the Mongolia Horse Riding Journey Towards Shilj Ereeny Pass
Today you will continue to ride along the Terelj River and pass the park. As you leave civilization behind, you will start seeing squirrels, marmots and various birds. Your camp side will be on the slope of Shilj Ereeny Pass, which is the place of unique assemblage of different plants (especially flowers) and animals. Today’s ride will cover approx. 30kms.
Today the Mongolia Horse Riding Trip will Take You into the Heartland of the Khentii Mountain Range!
Following breakfast at the camp you will ride up to Gachuurt’s Mount Nuramt which is the heartland of the Khentii Mountain range on the banks of the mighty Tuul River. Here you’ll have the opportunity to observe and explore the area with a trained guide. Dinner and overnight at Nomads ger camp. Today’s ride will cover approx. 30kms.
Enjoy the Day Exploring, Hiking and/or Just Relaxing – Before the Fine Mongolian BBQ Experience!
Today you will have time to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. You can hike along the forested hillsides that are decorated in mountain flowers and full of crystal clean waters. We hope this will increase your appetite for the wonderful farewell dinner to follow! “Khorkhog” is a traditional specialty of mutton and vegetable cooked in hot stones under high pressure. There will be an organized trek after dinner “Riding under the moonlight”. Overnight at the same ger camp.
Overland by Jeep to Ulaanbaatar for Sightseeing
After breakfast you will return to Ulaanbaatar in the vehicles. On arrival you will be taken to your hotel. Today you will visit the Bogd Khan Winter Palace, the home of the last religious king of Mongolia and the Fine Arts Museum. You will have time for shopping. Lunch and Dinner will be at local restaurants.
Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight home.

Transportation within Mongolia, and twin accommodation in a 4-star hotel. Single accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost. Tented accommodation while on a trek, three meals a day, English-speaking guide, all sightseeing costs, transfers, camel or horse hire where specified, support staff including drivers, horse/camel men and camp assistants.
International transportation, travel insurance, visas, departure tax, alcoholic drinks, gratuities, items of a personal nature.
It is the responsibility of the client to be fully covered with travel and medical insurance while traveling in Mongolia.
Upon request, a single supplement in the countryside can be provided at the additional cost. In case single accommodation in ger camps was not provided the amount would be calculated based on the missing nights and reimbursed.
Nomads cannot be held responsible for over bookings, as long as the company can prove with sufficient documentation that overbooking has been the error of the third party.
Should circumstances beyond our control, such as the imposition of quarantine restrictions, any changes of the domestic flight or train schedules, require a change of itinerary, we will inform your agent and propose an equivalent itinerary. Again, Nomads cannot take over the responsibility for the Airlines or the National Train Company. The traveler is responsible for having proper travel documents, such as a valid passport, proper visa, and the necessary passport pictures.
