in Ulaanbaatar, including visits to the National History Museum and

where the last religious king of Mongolia resided. The Palace

furniture and stuffed animals. There will be a welcome dinner
in a local restaurant, before heading back to the hotel for
the night.
DAY
2
Fly to Moron – Beltes River (100 km)
Today you will take an internal flight to Moron, the center of
Khuvsgul Province, either in the morning or in the afternoon
depending on domestic flights. On arrival, you will be met
by our local staff and vehicles, and driven to the Beltes River about
100 km away. This river is rich with Khiiruus. We will set up the
camp here for the night while you fish but it depends on your
arrival time in this area.
DAY
3
Alag Tseel River of Darkhad Valley
After breakfast we will drive towards Alag Tseel River by
crossing two big mountain passes, “Toim” and “Ulgii”
and reach to the Darkhad valley. The mountains around the valley reach above 3000m, and the area
is a paradise for bird watchers because of the number of lakes
(more than 300). The abundance of birds: ducks; geese; swans;
cranes; curlews; heron; snipe; and many other birds will increase
your pleasure while you fish there. This small and slow flowing
river is also rich in graylings, and lenoks, as well as surprisingly
large taimen. It is ideally suited for fly-fishing, and the
views are incredible. We will camp here as well.
DAY
4
Fishing in Khusryn am of Alag Tseel River in the Darkhad Valley
After breakfast we will drive further to reach Khusryn Am
crossing the wide “Shishkid” river. Here we will
fish in the morning and evening.
DAY
5-6
Shishkid River by boat - fishing
We will leave in the early morning for the northern part of
this journey, where there are two splendid rivers to be discovered.
We will make this leg of the journey by boat, following the
Shishkid River. We will camp for the night on the Shishkid’s
banks, from which we can fish for the rest of the day. The shishkid river is found in one of the most beautiful angling
grounds of Mongolia. It flows through mountainous woodland
and forms numerous islets. Its waters are the home of abundant
lenok, grayling and trophy-sized taimen.
DAY
7-9
Khogoriin am – fishing
We will continue our journey by boat for another three days to
enjoy the tranquility of fishing in this area. There are a few
good fishing spots such as the confluence of the Sharga, and the Shishkid rivers. We will have a packed lunch.
The area is a splendid rock-studded mountain river, where lenok,
grayling and, in the lower section, surprisingly large taimen
are plentiful. It is ideally suited for fly-fishing.
DAY 10
We will drive back to the original river we visited, Khogorgyn
am of Alag Tseel, where we will fish during the night time.
On our way we will prepare bait from the River Khug. We will
camp for the night.
DAY 11
Delgermoron River
Leaving in the early morning, we will drive (9 hours) to the
Delgermoron River, where we will camp in a picturesque spot
on its bank, close to Moron.
